Not Sure Which Wall Mirror You Need?

A wall mirror is designed to hang on your wall and sit flush, which saves floor space and gives your room a clean, open feel. A full-length mirror gives you a head to toe view and can lean on the floor or stand freestanding.

The good news? Many of our mirrors do both. Models like the Titan X, Rachelle, and Zenith X can be wall mounted or used as floor mirrors. If you want the full body view without sacrificing floor space, a full-length wall mirror might be the best of both worlds.

Choosing the Right Wall Mirror Shape

The shape sets the tone for the whole room

Round mirrors bring softness — they break up straight lines of shelves, vanities, and tiled walls, which is why they are the go-to for bathrooms and powder rooms. Window-style mirrors like the Le Vue add an almost architectural feel. Rectangular and oval shapes are more traditional and sit well above furniture or in hallways. If you want something different, frameless mirrors like the Gabriel let the glass do the talking.

Wall Mirrors — Room by Room

Where wall mirrors work best in New Zealand homes

Bathroom

A round mirror above the vanity is the most popular choice in NZ bathrooms. Our Aure Round (100 x 100cm) is the one most people go for. For double vanities, the Le Vue (120 x 100cm) covers the width nicely. All mirrors have moisture-resistant backing.

Living Room

A wall mirror above the sofa or sideboard reflects natural light and opens up the room. The Monarch or Cielle at 120cm wide creates a focal point. Position it to catch a window reflection — the light bounce is genuinely noticeable.

Dining Room

A window-style mirror like the Le Vue above a buffet adds depth and makes the room feel longer. Common in NZ apartments and townhouses where dining spaces are compact — a well-placed wall mirror is one of the simplest tricks.

Entryway

A round or rectangular wall mirror near the front door gives a quick check on the way out and makes narrow spaces feel wider. The Aure Round or Eclipse Oval both work well. Need something taller? Browse full-length mirrors.

How High to Hang a Wall Mirror

Getting the height right makes a bigger difference than you would expect

Above Furniture

Centre the mirror 15–20cm above the top of whatever sits below it — vanity, console, or sideboard.

On an Open Wall

The centre of the mirror should sit at roughly eye level — about 150–160cm from the floor for most NZ adults.

Above a Fireplace

Hang it 10–15cm above the mantel so it does not look like it is floating away from the wall.

Wall Mirrors and Natural Light

A well-placed wall mirror does the same job as a second window. Hang it opposite or adjacent to a window and it bounces natural light deep into the room. This is especially useful in New Zealand homes where the living area faces south or gets limited direct sun. Round mirrors scatter light more evenly across the room, while rectangular and window-style mirrors direct it in a more focused way. If your room feels darker than it should, a wall mirror in the right spot is one of the simplest fixes going.

Wall Mirrors, Built to Stay Put

Every wall mirror in this collection is designed to mount securely and sit flush. We handle everything from the frame to the mounting hardware in our own factory, so the brackets line up, the weight is right, and the finish is consistent. No third-party guesswork. Just wall mirrors that go up easily and stay put.

Built to Stay on Your Wall

Wall mounting a mirror shouldn't feel like a gamble. Our wall mirrors come with pre-installed keyhole brackets or hanging hardware, and we include clear instructions for mounting on standard NZ timber-framed or plasterboard walls. If you're unsure about your wall type, a builder can have it up in minutes.
