Trilogy 3-Light Floor Lamp

If you rent, or the ceiling above your couch does not have a power outlet, installing an overhead pendant is not an option. Trilogy is a plug-in alternative: three separate shades on a 195cm arc, casting light from above.

Three shades, one base
The arc holds three oatmeal slub linen shades at different heights. Each has its own E27 socket, so three warm-white LED globes together light the area under the arc with combined overhead warmth. The three shades point down and inward, covering a roughly 2m span under the arc. Enough to light a two or three-seater couch, a coffee table, or a small dining setup for four.

Height matters
195cm is the top of our lamp range. Under a standard 2.4m Aussie ceiling the top shade just clears a standing adult, but a tall person should measure before ordering. In a villa or a converted warehouse with 3m ceilings Trilogy reads proportional; under a 2.4m flat ceiling it feels full. The base is 7.15kg of weighted metal, which keeps the arc stable even when fully extended forward.

When to consider it
Anywhere you wish you had a ceiling pendant and do not. Over a couch, a coffee table, a games corner, a dining setup in a flat where the landlord has not wired a ceiling outlet. Not a bedroom lamp unless the bedroom is generous. For smaller rooms, Lumen Duo or Madox give a similar "light from above" feel at a smaller scale.
